New Purchase Order from Tramway in the Netherlands
OTN Systems is proud to inform you that we received a Purchase Order from RET (Rotterdam Elektrische Tram), for the upgrade of their OTN network towards 10G. The implementation of this new network will happen in early 2016.
RET is the tramway organization of the city of Rotterdam. They operate bus, tram, metro and ferry services, and they currently use OTN600 and X3M for their operational telecom needs. As new applications require more bandwidth, and as their network will be extended with new lines (eg Hoekse Lijn), they wanted to re-organize their OTN network (split rings), and create a master network with 10G capacity.
The Contract value for the deployment of 60 N70 nodes and 16 N415 nodes with BORA-ULM is 1,252 Mio Euro. Delivery schedule is tight, as delivery is planned for February 2016. The new network shall be operational by August 2016.
With this newest win, RET reconfirms its trust in OTN Systems as a very reliable partner for their critical operational telecom network.
I would like to thank Johan de Bilde for this important win, Veerle Peeters for the offer preparation and project management, and Jan Hoskens to facilitate the contract negotiations.
